The history of basketball

A man named James Naismith invented the first basketball game.

It was in 1891 in Springfield, Massachusetts.

He stared with his class of 18 students and divides them into 9 players each.  

To condition young athletes during the winter.

That the players could not run or hit the ball with there fist.

They had to throw the ball into a fruit basket and wait until the janitor retrieved it.

That it stared out as a gym class game and now it’s a national sport.
